Cedaron Chosen as Qualified Registry for PQRI Reporting
DAVIS, CA – Cedaron, Inc. has been chosen by the Centers for
Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as one of thirty-two qualified
registries for 2008 Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI)
Reporting. By receiving this honor, Cedaron is qualified to
submit quality data to CMS on behalf of their eligible professionals
for 2008 PQRI reporting.
“We are honored to be chosen as a qualified registry to PQRI
Reporting,” said Cedaron’s President and CEO, Karen
Bond. “This will allow Cedaron the opportunity to continue
to provide the highest level of service to its current and future
clients. Through Cedaron’s recent participation in the 2008
PQRI Pilot Testing Project and now its selection as a qualified PQRI
registry, Cedaron is quickly becoming a more common name at CMS.”
The Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 authorized CMS
to make PQRI incentive payments for satisfactorily reporting quality
measures data. For 2008, eligible professionals who meet the
criteria for satisfactory submission of quality measures data for
services furnished during the reporting period, January 1, 2008 -
December 31, 2008, will earn an incentive payment of 1.5 percent of
their total allowed charges for Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) covered
professional services furnished during that same period.
Eligible professionals who have questions about PQRI reporting or who
wish to participate in PQRI using Cedaron should call Cedaron at
800.424.1007.
