Medical Big Data Statistician
Cedaron is a successful medical software company located in Davis, California. We’re dedicated to providing innovative data-driven solutions for the healthcare industry. Our team is seeking a skilled Medical Big Data Statistician with expertise in analyzing medical databases and creating actionable insights that drive clinical and business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth statistical analyses on large medical datasets to support clinical insights, research, and decision-making.
- Develop and implement risk algorithms, predictive models, and statistical methodologies specific to healthcare needs.
- Manage and ensure data integrity within large-scale medical databases, optimizing extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval from MS SQL and other database systems.
- Produce data visualizations and reports to effectively present insights to diverse stakeholders across departments.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and healthcare professionals to align on data strategy and analysis objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in statistical analysis focused on healthcare or medical data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, and data privacy best practices.
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions and data warehousing systems.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS SQL, with strong capabilities in query writing and optimization.
- Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical software such as R, SAS, and Python.
- Experience in developing risk algorithms, predictive models, and conducting complex statistical analyses.
Other Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for translating complex data insights to non-technical audiences.

Medical Software Engineer
Our engineering team writes cutting edge, web-delivered specialty software for healthcare. If you want to work for a profitable, growing company where you won’t get gobbled up anonymously in a megacorporation, Cedaron might be the place for you.
This position is full-time and comes with a comprehensive benefits package. We’re located in the college town of Davis, California. We’d love to see you in the office!
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with your peers designing, developing, and deploying new software features on a modern web application
- Plan priorities and meet deadlines for releases
- Work with our customers to troubleshoot issues and brainstorm new feature ideas
- Abide by OWASP and HIPPA standards
- Take initiative and ownership in work
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with front-end development in the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience in languages C like languages like C++, Java, and C# (preferred)
- Good understanding of object-oriented design, version control (Git), HTTP, REST, Windows Services, and Transact SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the following front-end technologies: Typescript, LESS, React, Knockout
- Experience with HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) standards as well as OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project)
- Experience with cloud services like Azure
Soft Skills:
- Ability to take feedback well
- Ability to communicate ideas with peers and customers
- Ability to ask for help and questions when designing ideas
